OUTDOOR CLUBS

Wyoming Wilderness Association believes youth outdoor clubs foster a deep connection to wild places and an informed voice for public lands. In partnership with teachers, WWA launched outdoor clubs at Sheridan, Big Horn, and Tongue River High Schools, offering low-cost recreation that connects students with their natural surroundings.

Activities focus on environmental education, stewardship, and recreation, such as hiking, climbing, and skiing, while teaching responsible outdoor ethics. By exploring, learning, and giving back, students gain a lasting appreciation for wild landscapes and the stories to shape future conservation.

Home For All commemorates the 60th anniversary of the Wilderness Act and 40th anniversary of the Wyoming Wilderness Act (2024) by celebrating Indigenous voices and their connection to the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem. Featuring audio stories from Indigenous storytellers, the installation reflects on wildlands as "home." These narratives elevate Indigenous culture and wisdom, guiding inclusive stewardship of Wyoming's wild places. Join us in celebrating and learning together.
