Author Jack Turner Speaks on "Wilderness Explored"

WWA hosted prominent Jackson outdoor writer Jack Turner on November 8th at Sheridan College. Turner discussed his writing and his extensive relationship with “wildness.” WWA is grateful for the sponsors who made this event possible.  Thanks also to Jack and all who showed up to hear his contemplative and inspiring words!

The University of Wyoming recently hosted the panel on Wilderness in Wyoming: Perception, Politics and Status. Conversations about these important issues are confronting misconceptions and leading to a new era of wilderness preservation in Wyoming. Wilderness Week 2010 - Washington, D.C.

In September 2010, WWA took 4 staff and 5 volunteers to Washington D.C. to attend workshops from Campaign for Americas Wilderness. The WWA group meet with Wyoming’s two U.S. Senators and lone U.S. Representative. From the Campaign for America's Wilderness, Pew Environment Group.
